#40: No Need for Ramblings

Note to self: Spent most of yesterday "autumn cleaning" my room and wow, what a difference a couple of hours of work makes. Okay, so it still isn't going to win any awards for neatness, (I still have those piles of paper here, but at least they're all shuffled into one corner of the room) but man, am I glad I don't have to memorise where I can or can't step on the carpet anymore. At least for a while. And cleaning out my cupboard brought out a host of suprises as well. Like a whole buncha clothing I would never wear even on a really, really bad day. Managed to fill a whole garbage bag full of the stuff. I'm going to make the Salvation Army happy tonight. ^_^ Plus it left me with a neater closet, and a lot of extra space I can use now.

Hmmmmm. Kinda stuck for a topic here. It's the first week of holidays and they're always a little bit on the quiet side. Depending upon your year of education, you could either be resting up from a term of work, you could still be be going to the place of education anyway despite the holidays cause of project commitments, or you're actually doing a job somewhere. So overall there's a quiet. There are enough people going to university/work whatever to make the area around here dead silent, but not enough so that that silence is drowned out by the sound of cars rushing past the house. This paragraph made a heck of a lot more sense in my brain than it did when I put it down to notepad.

Anyway, I have a feeling things won't heat up until at least the second week of the holidays when students realise they haven't even BEGUN to do those assignments due on the week back; and those students who are doing major projects have to speed up in their work to meet the same deadline. The only ones who won't be affected will be those who already have a job, and even then they may be affected by the social brownian motion of stressed out looking students still going out to try and have a good time. Depends upon their line of work, I guess.

So what am I trying to say here? Well, since nothing's going to happen until next week, I thought I'd put the diary on hold until that time so you can see the contrast between this: Calm and contented Edwyn. And the Edwyn AFTER he discovers he's in a pot of boiling water with onions and carrots and a lot of hungry people wanting to tear his flesh off his bones. ^_^

Or maybe I won't. The lure to write in this thing is probably too strong, anyway. O.o Ah well, just a thought. I didn't have much to write in todays entry, so best way to filler.
